Strategy and planning
A strategy you can act on.
We look at where you are and where you want to be, then build the prioritised, resourced plan that gets you there — and stay involved while it is executed.

The situation
Most plans fail at execution, not at the whiteboard.
Strategy days are rarely the hard part. The hard part is the quarter afterwards, when the plan meets an existing workload and quietly loses. What survives is whatever was specific enough to be someone's job, resourced enough to be possible, and measured often enough that drift is visible while there is still time to correct it.
So the deliverable is not a deck. It is a prioritised set of objectives with owners, targets and the resource behind them — and, where it helps, our involvement while the first cycle runs.
The process
Ten steps, in this order.
- 1
Vision, mission and values
What the company is for, agreed rather than assumed.
- 2
Growth aims
What the directors actually want, stated as a number and a date.
- 3
Research and audit
Market, competitors and an honest look at the current position.
- 4
Targets and segments
Which markets, and just as importantly which not.
- 5
Voice of the customer
What buyers say, rather than what the business believes they say.
- 6
The vital few objectives
Specific and measurable. A long list is the same as no list.
- 7
Priority targets
What good looks like, per objective.
- 8
Strategies, resourced
How each objective gets met, and with what.
- 9
Execution
Best-practice marketing, run against the plan.
- 10
Review and optimise
Performance against the agreed objectives, on a rhythm.
Proof
Where this has been done.
Electronics · EV charging
A go-to-market plan, and a marketing team supported to run it
An annual marketing plan, then website content and campaign execution run against it.
IT infrastructure · Managed IaaS
A rebrand, and a new Azure service given a market to land in
A rebrand, sharper messaging and website, and a joint inbound and outbound plan behind a new Azure IaaS offering.
Audio, visual and data technology
Two audiences, two websites, one growth plan
A three-year business strategy, then the marketing built to serve both sides of it.
What clients say
Both of these started as a plan.
